EXCAVATE THE MONSTER (2003)

The dawning of an encompassing Ice Age is inevitable. People grow afraid to leave the city's boundaries. To the east are the towering mountains, whose ice caps seemed to be creeping downward. To the west is a dark, forested area, neglected and growing wild because anyone who ever traveled west, never returned. Monsters breed in the ice-covered mountains. It is a habit to keep at a distance and for a time this has kept them hidden. But something else is happening. The cold wind that the people had long ago left behind is creeping further out of the east. Close at its heels are the ice and snow.

A very long time ago pair of scientists went to the east to explore the roots of this civilization. They never returned, leaving two young sons behind. One of the sons, Johnny, believed they were killed by monsters, and became a media sensation, Gus, the other didn't. Johnny took on a new name and grew into a leader of men: Johnny Jihad, the marketing juggernaut. Gus froze himself in a room - literally. And now a woman, Brendel Brigardon, has moved in next door to Gus. This is where our play begins. Witness as archeologists of another time long after this one try to put together the pieces of this story.
